Busways; Committed to the Environment

 In 2005 we were named Environmental and Innovative Operator of the Year by the Bus and Coach Association of NSW.  

We strive to achieve outstanding environmental performance in all aspects of our business, and we are currently participating in several environmental initiatives, including:  

·          Greenfleet a non-for-profit organisation who have planted over three million trees on behalf of Australian motorists and businesses since 1997. These trees offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated in a year.  

·          Greenhouse Challenge Plus a partnership program between the Australian Government and Australian companies, focused on improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse emissions. Membership under the challenge requires annual audits of emissions and development of an action plan to further reduce output.  

We also continue to implement environmentally friendly practices into the way we conduct our day to day business, and  are committed to playing our part in relieving some of the stress on our environment.
