Christmas buses bring smiles to passengers

It’s a yearly tradition that generates a lot of buzz at Busways depots and puts smiles on our passengers faces every year. 

At least one Christmas bus from each Busways depot in New South Wales and South Australia has been decorated in tinsel, baubles, and all things Christmas for our annual Christmas fundraiser.

Half a million riders enjoy Western Sydney’s award-winning on demand public transport service

The Cooee Busways on demand service in Western Sydney is celebrating a significant milestone, carrying its 500,000th passenger in Western Sydney.

Launched in May 2019 by Busways and Transport for NSW, the innovative service was designed as point-to-hub transport around the new Sydney Metro West rail service and the existing rail stations and quickly became the fastest growing on demand service worldwide.

Supporting Adelaide’s Christmas pageant participants in style!

Busways enjoyed spreading festive cheer and playing Santa’s helper at the 2023 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide recently!

On behalf of Adelaide Metro, Busways ran 34 free shuttle services taking pageant participants from key locations to the parade, without a hitch.

New timetables from 20 November 2023: Western Sydney

To improve timeliness of bus services, new timetables will be introduced across the Western Sydney region on Monday 20 November 2023

Effective from: Monday 20 November 2023. 

New timetable applies to all routes – both regular and school services.

Update: restored, but still delays, Warragamba to Penrith route and school services

Date/Time of update:  Tuesday 31 October 7:15 am

Police have now opened Silverdale Road and the following services are restored, but will be experiencing delays due to the earlier stoppage due to bushfires road closures.
