Roll with Busways to the 2023 Real Festival

Busways is proud to be the Transport Partner for Penrith City Council’s family friendly REAL Festival as it returns after a three-year hiatus.  The iconic Penrith festival is making a triumphant return, with a promise to deliver even more captivating, interactive, and immersive experiences. Get ready to witness a riverbank transformation like no other, as this year's event takes fun to unprecedented heights, catering to all ages with unforgettable moments.

Mark your calendars for September 15 to 17, when Tench Reserve in Jamisontown by the scenic Nepean River becomes the epicentre of creativity and excitement. The festival's schedule is as follows:

Friday 15 September 4pm-10pm

Saturday 16 September 4pm-10pm

Sunday 17 September 10am-3pm

The Real Festival offers a stunning array of attractions that will keep both young and young-at-heart thoroughly entertained. Prepare to be spellbound by enchanting stage shows, captivated by art installations, enjoy surprise pop-up performances, glide around the roller rink, and relive the nostalgia of the arcade zone.  Some of Sydney’s best food trucks will be there, dishing up all sorts of deliciousness both day and night.

Getting there!

Busways shuttle buses will operate on a continuous loop across Friday, Saturday and Sunday from local parking areas and rail transport hubs. The shuttle buses are accessible and can accommodate prams and strollers. Drop off and pick up locations are:

  • Penrith Train Station (Stand D)
  • Jamison Park at Batt Street (near Netball Courts) and
  • At the Festival, Tench Reserve.

Shuttle buses run from:

  • 3pm to 10:30pm - Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September
  • 9am to 3:30pm - Sunday 17 September.
