Busways has been advised of planned industrial action by the Rail Tram Bus Union (RTBU) in North Shore and West from Wednesday 4 November 2026.

This action may affect some aspects of bus operations, including journey times, service reliability and access to real-time information.

Bus services are expected to continue operating, however passengers may notice changes to normal service delivery.

Students sitting HSC exams should allow extra travel time, plan their journey before travelling or consider alternative travel arrangements where possible.  

We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to minimise disruption. If cancellations are required, we will prioritise maintaining service frequency across the network and preserving school services and journeys relied on by vulnerable passengers wherever possible.
