With Road Rules Awareness Week underway, Busways helped students at Grose View Public School learn how to stay safe on and around buses. 

Through our year-round Bus Education Program, students learn practical safety skills including waiting a safe distance from the road, boarding safely, holding on while travelling and safely moving away from the bus after getting off.  

The program combines classroom learning with practical activities on a real bus, giving students the opportunity to put those lessons into practice.

Road safety is a shared responsibility, and helping young passengers build safe habits is an important part of the journey. Motorists are reminded to slow down to 40 km/h when school bus lights are flashing, as students may be boarding or exiting the bus.
