From Monday, October 28, Busways’ Western Sydney buses will no longer accept cash payments.
Tickets previously purchased from drivers will no longer be available and customers will need to purchase an Opal card or start using their credit or debit card to tap on and tap off during their journey. Customers can also use a device linked to one of these cards to tap on and tap off.
Due to a bush fire around Fire Trail Road, Castlereagh, route 678 services will divert along Castlereagh Rd.
Route 678 services will miss Cranebrook Rd(northern side), Church Ln, Church St, E Wilchard Rd, Sheridan Rd and Hinxman Rd until it is deemed safe to continue route services.

Busways recognised by NSW State Government for community event support
Busways was recently recognised by the NSW State Government for its support of the Central Coast's 5 Lands Walk.
Busways was presented with a certificate of appreciation after its sixth year of supporting the event which involves the provision of free shuttle bus services as participants make their away along the 10km coastline.
From 9pm on Friday 27 September to 5am on Monday 14 October, route 794 services will divert and miss some bus stops due to road closures on Glenmore Pkwy.

On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, routes 673, 677 and 678 departing from Penrith Station, Stand D (Stop ID 275078) will depart from Penrith Station, Stand C (Stop ID 275077) to allow for the operation of rail replacement buses whilst trackwork is carried out on the T1 Western train line.
