Westpoint Tunnel Diversion

From Monday 20 March 2023

Westpoint Tunnel will be closed due to maintenance works within the tunnel from:

  • Monday 20 March 2023 between 8:00pm and 4:30am
  • Tuesday 21 March 2023 between 8:00pm and 4:30am

Bus stop changes

Buses will divert along Kildare Road and Balmoral Street in both directions. During these closures, buses will pick up passengers at the bus interchange on the north side of Blacktown Train Station.

Customers can check the Blacktown Interchange map for their nearest stop.

750, 751, 761: Carlisle Avenue Mt Druitt road works

Due to road resurfacing the southbound lanes on Carlisle Avenue, Mount Druitt between Luxford Road, and Woodstock Avenue will be temporarily closed and bus stops will be temporarily closed from:

  • Tuesday 14 until Thursday 23 March 2023 between 21:00 & 05:00 (weather permitting)

During this work depending on the night, commuters will be directed to the next existing bus stop under the direction of authorised traffic controllers.

783: Castlereagh Road, Penrith diversion

Due to the Redline Games Triathalon Penrith event a diversion will be in place. Castlereagh Road will be closed to all traffic between Andrews Road, Castlereagh and Waterside Boulevard, Cranebrook from:

  • 6am until 1:00pm Sunday 2 April 2023

Due to construction work at 61 Greenbank Drive, Werrington Downs the bus stop at Greenbank Dr opp Kim Anderson Park (Stop ID: 2747146) will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 14 March 2023 until further notice.

Temporary bus stop will be located at Greenbank Drive 50 metres before Tanbark Circuit.

Busways retains bus operations in rapidly expanding Western Sydney

Busways will continue to operate bus services in Western Sydney, one of the fastest growing regions in Sydney, after retaining the region’s bus operations following a competitive open tender process.

Busways was awarded the new Greater Sydney Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government today commencing in December 2023 for the next seven years.
