Busways expands Zero Emission Bus fleet with six new electric vehicles!

Busways has welcomed six new Yutong E12 zero emissions buses (ZEBs) to our Penrith fleet!

The arrival of these new ZEBs means our Penrith depot will now operate the second largest electric bus fleet in NSW, with 18 electric buses in total.

Managing Director of Busways, Byron Rowe, says the addition continues Busways’ journey to decrease carbon emissions.

“These new ZEBs are part of our plan to increase sustainable outcomes for communities and contribute to NSW’s objectives of cutting emissions by 80% by 2035.

Port Macquarie Artwork diversion

Routes 322, 323, 324, 325, 333, 334, 335, 336 & 341 services will divert and miss some stops due to road closure for the Port Macquarie Artwalk Event on Friday 9 June 2023 between 4pm and 10pm.

Services will operate via Munster St, Church St, Murray St to temporary bus stop, then William St, Munster St and resume normal route.

A reminder to pay your fare when riding on the bus

Thank you to our customers who pay their fare, and a reminder to passengers to pay your fare when riding the bus.

It’s important when traveling on the bus to have your valid Opal card or contactless card or device with you, as at any time you may be asked to provide it to an Authorised Officer.

Over 800 Transport Officers, Authorised Revenue Protection Officers and Police patrol travel on public transport to check passenger fares. Officers carry card readers and are able to scan your Opal card or contactless card or device to verify your ticket.

Warnervale temporary bus stop closure

From 5am Saturday 10 June to 6am Monday 12 June 2023, a number of bus stops will be closed and route 78 bus services will be diverted, while Warnervale station undergoes maintenance.
