Sydney New Year's Eve - Sunday 31st December 2023

With hundreds of thousands of people visiting the harbour foreshore and various vantage points for the 9pm and midnight New Year’s Eve fireworks, Busways North West (GSBC 7) will operate to a Saturday timetable with additional bus services from mid-afternoon on New Year's Eve to early hours of New Year's Day.

Due to road closures in the Sydney CBD, buses will divert from normal path. Plan your bus trip with the Trip Planner or the Opal Travel App for service times and alternative stops.

Please note due to train services operating close to a 24-hour timetable, the Nightride Route N90 and Route N91 services will not operate from late night on New Year's Eve to early morning of New Year's Day.

Busways' new Western Sydney contract begins

On Sunday 10 December 2023, Busways will begin a new contract to continue operating bus services in Western Sydney for the next seven years.

Customers can rest assured that it will be business as usual from day one, with smooth continuation of services delivering the same timetable that was recently introduced on 20 November 2023.
