From school carols to Christmas lights: Moments that matter

Christmas has a way of bringing people together, and this season was filled with moments that showed the strength of community connection.
Across the region, buses became part of experiences that linked generations in simple, meaningful ways. At Brentwood Village, students from Kincumber Public School arrived by shuttle services to share Christmas carols with residents. During the event, Principal Trish. P expressed her gratitude to Busways, saying, “This morning was a wonderful success, and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without Busways. Their contribution has made today truly special for both our students and the residents.”
Elsewhere, Christmas buses travelled through Laurieton and Wauchope, carrying nursing home residents on a Christmas lights tour as neighbourhoods lit up around them. Whether on board the bus or at each destination, the atmosphere was the same; warm conversations and shared joy. These moments created space for people to connect and enjoy the season together.
Many thanks to our depot teams for all your work behind the scenes in making these experiences possible.
A reminder that our NSW Christmas buses are raising funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Westmead Children's Hospital. If you spot a Christmas bus, hop on and scan the QR code onboard to donate and make a real difference for families this festive season.
