Busways' new Western Sydney contract begins

On Sunday 10 December 2023, Busways will begin a new contract to continue operating bus services in Western Sydney for the next seven years.

Customers can rest assured that it will be business as usual from day one, with smooth continuation of services delivering the same timetable that was recently introduced on 20 November 2023.

No Smoking means no vaping

To maintain a comfortable and healthy environment for everyone, a vaping ban has been introduced on public transport in NSW. This rule is an extension of the established no-smoking policy and encompasses all forms of smoking, including e-cigarettes.

St Marys Interchange temporary bus stop closure

Due to urgent pedestrian crossing repairs at St Marys Interchange, access to the interchange will be restricted from:

  • 21:00 Friday 8 December until 05:00 Monday 11 December 2024

Christmas buses bring smiles to passengers

At least one Christmas bus from each Busways depot in New South Wales and South Australia has been decorated in tinsel, baubles, and all things Christmas for our annual Christmas fundraiser.

Half a million riders enjoy Western Sydney’s award-winning on demand public transport service

The Cooee Busways on demand service in Western Sydney is celebrating a significant milestone, carrying its 500,000th passenger in Western Sydney.

Launched in May 2019 by Busways and Transport for NSW, the innovative service was designed as point-to-hub transport around the new Sydney Metro West rail service and the existing rail stations and quickly became the fastest growing on demand service worldwide.
