Western Sydney

Busways proudly provides scheduled route and school bus services to communities in the Western Sydney region.

This bus network covers a large part of Western Sydney including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill, Seven Hills, Castle Hill, Windsor, Penrith, Richmond and Hawkesbury Valley.

These services take passengers to and from work, school, shopping centres, beaches and many other places. 

Some of the major trip destinations are the train stations on the Main Western Line as well as the Norwest Business Park, Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, Castle Towers and Centro Nepean.

Busways has been awarded Sydney's Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government to provide bus services in this area, also known as Region 1.

Route 783 diversion on Sunday 23 October 2016

Due to the annual Penrith Triathlon, commencing on Sunday 23 October from 6.45am-10am, all route 783 services will be diverted as Castlereagh Road will be closed (between Andrews Rd and Agnes Banks) to all traffic.

Updates: TWU stop work action cancelled – Bus services will operate to timetable tomorrow on Wednesday 28 September

The planned stop work action for tomorrow on Wednesday 28 September has been cancelled. All route services in Western Sydney will operate to a normal weekday timetable on Wednesday 28 September.

Route T75 Timetable Amendment

The Route T75 trip currently departing Riverstone Station at 15:46 will now depart weekdays at 15:54 and no longer operate via Sorrento Drive.

Majority of Opal card readers to operate from Friday 2 September to Saturday 10 September

On Friday 2 September from 1am to Saturday 10 September at 1am, Transport Workers Union members will be taking industrial action by refusing to wear uniforms, not turning on Opal card readers for customers and will not sell single trip tickets during the period, representing the actions taken by 35% of permanent employees who are union members.
