Busways proudly provides scheduled route and school bus services to communities in the Western Sydney region.
This bus network covers a large part of Western Sydney including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill, Seven Hills, Castle Hill, Windsor, Penrith, Richmond and Hawkesbury Valley.
These services take passengers to and from work, school, shopping centres, beaches and many other places.
Some of the major trip destinations are the train stations on the Main Western Line as well as the Norwest Business Park, Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, Castle Towers and Centro Nepean.
Busways has been awarded Sydney's Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government to provide bus services in this area, also known as Region 1.

From 1 August 2016, magnetic strip tickets (MSTs) and other legacy tickets and passes will no longer be sold or accepted across the Opal network. Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Andrew Constance, announced that on 31 July 2016 remaining paper tickets will be retired. This marks the final step in transitioning towards a modern integrated electronic ticketing system.

Due to the annual Doonside Festival, commencing Saturday, 23 July 2016, Hill End Road (between Cross St and Earle St) will be closed to all traffic. As a result, route 753 services will be affected and diverted from 6am to 5pm.

Commencing on Monday, 18 July 2016 to Friday, 22 July 2016, Rouse Hill Interchange, Tempus Street (between White Hart Drive and Rouse Hill Drive) will be closed to all traffic from 9pm to 5am for road reconstruction works (weather permitting).

Terry Road at Box Hill between George St and Old Pitt Town Rd will be closed to traffic due to a major road reconstruction. As a result the 746 service will follow a diversion route, omitting one bus stop. The works are expected to last from Monday 11 July - Monday 22 August, weather permitting.
