Western Sydney

Busways proudly provides scheduled route and school bus services to communities in the Western Sydney region.

This bus network covers a large part of Western Sydney including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill, Seven Hills, Castle Hill, Windsor, Penrith, Richmond and Hawkesbury Valley.

These services take passengers to and from work, school, shopping centres, beaches and many other places. 

Some of the major trip destinations are the train stations on the Main Western Line as well as the Norwest Business Park, Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, Castle Towers and Centro Nepean.

Busways has been awarded Sydney's Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government to provide bus services in this area, also known as Region 1.

There will be ongoing works at the Blacktown Interchange during January 2018, including diversions associated with the George Street access to the Sunnyholt T-Way being closed.

Route 743 diversion - 11 December - 2 January

Due to the Christmas lights display on Lawson St, Lalor Park and associated traffic issues, route 743 will divert via Boronia St and Stephen St from Monday 11 December to Tuesday 2 January 2018 (inclusive), between 6.30pm to last service each night.

Route 783 diversion - Sunday 26 November

Due to the Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney event, on Sunday 26 November from 4.30am - 3.30pm, Castlereagh Road (between Andrews Rd and The Driftway, Agnes Banks) will be closed, and as a result route 783 services will be diverted and some bus stops missed.
