Macleay Schools Walk Against Warming

11 Jan 2010

In December 2009, Macleay Schools participated in the Walk Against Warming (WAW)- a day organised by a local public school for students of the Macleay Valley to make a statement against global warming in conjunction with the Climate Change Summit in Copenhagan.

Approximately 750 students for 10 schools walked 4 kilometres from South West Rocks to Trial Bay Gaol to form a human WAW sign.

Buways provided discounted travel for those attanding the event - in all, 13 buses and drivers were required.
